Jessica Paulsen is the Deputy Director of AI and Software at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). She provides strategic leadership of the development and implementation of UK regulatory approaches for digital health products, including medical device software and AI-enabled technologies. Prior to joining MHRA, she worked at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for 15 years, where she held various senior leadership roles within the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Most recently, she led the FDA’s Digital Health Center of Excellence, where she provided executive leadership and direction for digital health policy, including evaluation of medical device software and AI. She earned her B.E. in Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Management from Vanderbilt University.
